This month we meet Hussein Remtulla, one of our dedicated Field Service Engineers.

How long have you worked at Aspect and what’s involved with your day-to-day role?

I have been at Aspect Scientific for over 6 months. As a field engineer my day to day role is to get to customers sites to either do a preventive maintenance service on the equipment they use or to resolve any breakdowns they may have for the equipment.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I enjoy working on different types of equipment everyday. I also enjoy meeting the people that use the equipment and the smile they have when I say everything is A-OK with the machine and they can get to work on it.

What do you find most challenging?

Parking! As we carry quiet a bit of kit for any service, the closer we park to the building the better. This at times is not possible as the car park is full and you have to go around until someone leaves.

Do you feel the company’s services/products and your role have a positive impact on healthcare, why and how does this make you feel?

Yes absolutely. The service the company provides is essential in keeping the machines running which in turn keeps the patients happy to get the results of their tests as soon as possible.

We also install newer updated technologies which enable the healthcare sector to develop further efficiency in obtaining test results.

I like to give back to humanity in every way I can. Be it at working hours or off working hours. This gives me an opportunity to do some good day in day out.
